As I did last semester with Andy Hollendin, I will jot down the exceptionally great, hilarious and inspirational quotes from Glenn Gass from the Music of Bob Dylan.
"I can't grade papers, if one person writes 'I love Bob Dylan, his music is cool,' I have to give them an A"
"There was no chance my mom did not hold Bob Dylan. While this might not matter to you, this is important to my life"
"Girls liked guys with a guitar back then. It's not that way now, I walk around with a guitar now and my wife is like pssssh."
"If you're gonna try marijuana for the first time, wouldn't you wanna try it from Bob Dylan?"
"I wanna get high with Bob Dylan."
" The song 'Positively 4th Street' does make 'Rolling Stone' seem like where the flowers grow."
"You're yelling over Bob Dylan, in a Bob Dylan class."
"I do my best teaching in bed"
"Don't sit there like a class. We're all friends here talking about Bob Dylan"
"My friend once owned a vintage store, of course back then they just called it a store."
"I've been asked, " Have the Beatles have come to your class, I don't know has Jesus had coffee with you lately?"
"When I held my baby for the first time it was a feeling I'll never forget. Better than any drug."
"I'm not gonna pass up a chance to show breasts...let's count them!"
"Why is that there? I don't know, I just can't get enough of Yoko Ono, any chance I get"
"We all worship Joni Mitchell, she was my first wife so it's awkward to show her."
"Does anyone know why Enya is playing?"
"You're never to famous to be embarrassed by your own mother"
"They had to spend an immense amount of money to cover the cocaine in his nostril... Ah the 70's"
"If you ever marry Bob Dylan...things can be worse"
"You're sitting around with Ron Wood and Keith Richards, you're gonna do something"
"The Pope didn't exactly embrace Rock rock n roll. They didn't have a rock fest at the Vatican"
"Keep these albums on your 'Life's Playlist.'"

Quotes from the professor.
I made it a task to jot down the important and inspirational quotes given by my favorite college professor Andy Hollinden. My fall class with him has already been concluded, but now the semester's best can be presented:
"Most of our best curse words have the short "u" in it"
(Andy reads a section of an interview given by someone talking about a Zappa song)
"People couldn't understand what he was saying, they thought he was talking about putting his boner in somebody's hair" Andy quotes "Who hasn't done that?"
"Have any of you ever kissed a magazine?...Like anyone is going to answer that"
"Do you think after you sleep with someone famous you will walk around with a glow?"
"I will not tell you anything wrong...perhaps that was wrong"
(Discussing Herman's Hermits v Frank Zappa) "If you had to choose between Herman's Hermit's and Zappa which would you choose?...Not that I'm bad mouthing Herman's Hermits' Fans"
"If I was goign to take a Zappa class in college and there were women in that course, I would have married one of them."
"Have you ever used the word "grand" in your day-to-day language? I find that lazy"
(Andy referring to himself during his high school youth) "Long, lanky, skinny, guy doing wrestling...YOU BET!"
"I'm trying to start the rumor that the C.I.A. killed John Denver, I've been trying to do that for 15 years and it hasn't grown legs yet" --> my fav!
"By the way do you know when you fire a gun in the air...IT COMES DOWN SOMEWHERE?"
"Most of our best curse words have the short "u" in it"

All Linker In...
I decided to try some official networking on the internet besides doing it with the original social networks of Facebook and Twitter. I signed up with a Linkedin profile. It is a business oriented networking site and I will be using it for professional networking. Hopefully I will be able to do what I intend to be doing with this website, and that is connecting. Connecting to potential employers, companies and associates. It basically feels like a mature and mellow Facebook. I hope to display all of my work on my profile if possible and need to remember to update as much as I can, and to update more on my blogging :)

If you succeed...try try again
Since I now have a livejournal that is mostly for scholarly purposes, I figure I'd devote my blog to be for my giddy ideas. But the first journal entry I liked to much just to leave it up on LJ.
The lights of Evan Williams field were shown brightly, and a stand out crowd was loud and full of pride watching the evening's rugby match.
The IU Women's Redstorm Rugby team was finishing up another victory over their opponent Ball State, who had no chance from the kick off.
Down 55-0 at halftime, IU standout Tyra McGrady had much to do with the dominating score and had further plans to add on to their total. With a quick sprint and constant miss tackles from various Ball State players, Tyra was off running full speed down the field, leaving nothing but a tired, and breathless Ball State team behind
Dozens of loud cheers were coming from the sideline and the crowd. She scored another try, her last to finish off a 90-5 slaughter fest of the Cardinals. It was one of eight on the day and just one of many of the season. It was a good day for Tyra. It was a rugby day.
Tyra McGrady has been an avid player in IU's Redstorm winning tradition for the past three years, that includes helping the team receive back-to-back invites to the National Championship in 2008 and 2009. Tyra is just one of the many elite players that make up IU's rugby team, but it's her talent, sportsmanship, and humble attitude is what sets her apart from the rest.
Tyra's success in rugby has granted her the pleasure of traveling all over the world to compete. Two years ago, she was invited to play in South Africa for a tournament, and last summer was invited to play in England. Tyra says in England came her proudest moment in a game when she scored the winning try against Wales, a team known for their rugby skills. She has also traveled all over the U.S. including Las Vegas this past spring to compete for team USA.
As hard as Tyra works on the field, she works even harder in the classroom. She says it's absolutely the best sport she's ever played, that includes beating soccer, a sport which she has played since she was eight.
Above all accomplishments, Tyra wants her team to see her as being confident and someone they can look to for guidance. With a friendly smile that always seems to be showing, Tyra's laughter and grace is the only thing that stands above her talent. Her only fear is that she'll be considered overrated and not meet her standards. Her teammates all agree that they feel privileged to be on a team with Tyra and there's nothing overrated about that

For All the Moms out there...
I posted on Twitter that I feel like my mom is like a bra. She gives me support and I keep her very close to my chest. I only hope someday I can shower my mother with the blessings she has blessed me with. Indeed she's the type of mom that enjoys life's simple pleasures and a daughter that simply calls or sends a card on her birthday or mother's day. I can only hope I have the patience with little ginger terrors someday, but that's too far down the road to expand. Thanks Mom!
