I made it a task to jot down the important and inspirational quotes given by my favorite college professor Andy Hollinden. My fall class with him has already been concluded, but now the semester's best can be presented:
"Most of our best curse words have the short "u" in it"
(Andy reads a section of an interview given by someone talking about a Zappa song)
"People couldn't understand what he was saying, they thought he was talking about putting his boner in somebody's hair" Andy quotes "Who hasn't done that?"
"Have any of you ever kissed a magazine?...Like anyone is going to answer that"
"Do you think after you sleep with someone famous you will walk around with a glow?"
"I will not tell you anything wrong...perhaps that was wrong"
(Discussing Herman's Hermits v Frank Zappa) "If you had to choose between Herman's Hermit's and Zappa which would you choose?...Not that I'm bad mouthing Herman's Hermits' Fans"
"If I was goign to take a Zappa class in college and there were women in that course, I would have married one of them."
"Have you ever used the word "grand" in your day-to-day language? I find that lazy"
(Andy referring to himself during his high school youth) "Long, lanky, skinny, guy doing wrestling...YOU BET!"
"I'm trying to start the rumor that the C.I.A. killed John Denver, I've been trying to do that for 15 years and it hasn't grown legs yet" --> my fav!
"By the way do you know when you fire a gun in the air...IT COMES DOWN SOMEWHERE?"
